Level 05 Certificate in Advanced Fire Risk Assessment

This course requires learners to demonstrate the application of fire safety principles addressing the following learning outcomes:

• Application of principles to analyse complex information when undertaking FRAs in buildings or premises that can be categorised as presenting a high risk.
• Interpret and advise on all legal and statutory obligations so as to satisfy and enable statutory compliance in buildings and premises that can be categorised as presenting a high risk.
• Critically evaluate the requirements and limitations of specific fire safety measures that are required to mitigate fire development, growth and spread. 
• Demonstrate an understanding of the principles of building and premises design, construction and maintenance.
• Critically evaluate fire safety management systems used in buildings and premises that can be categorised as presenting a high risk. 

Suitable for experienced fire risk assessors with access to high-risk premises due to occupation, building type, design, hazardous activity or statutory restrictions which require more complex solutions to achieving a safe and compliant environment. May also be appropriate for those acting as Lead Fire Risk Assessor or working towards BAFE SP205 registration.

Level 04 Certificate in Fire Risk Assessment (610/6275/3). Those with an alternative Level 03 Certificate will need to provide further evidence of professional practice.

Candidates must also have access to suitable premises to allow them to gather the evidence requirements of this qualification specification.
