Upon successful completion of this course, learners will:

• Understand workplace fire hazards and associated risks
• Understand how fires can be prevented and controlled
• Understand the principles of fire risk management
• Understand the role and responsibilities of a Fire Marshal

Learners gain a strong foundation in workplace fire safety, including:

• Legal responsibilities under UK fire safety law
• How fires start, spread, and can be controlled
• Identifying, reporting, and reducing fire hazards
• Actions to take in the event of a fire
• Safe evacuation and crowd management
• Maintenance and safety checks on fire safety equipment

These outcomes align directly with the qualification specification and workplace fire safety requirements.

Perfect for organisations that require Fire Marshals but do not expect staff to operate fire extinguishers. Ideal for new starters, existing safety personnel, and anyone responsible for supporting emergency procedures and fire risk management.

No formal prerequisites. A basic awareness of fire safety is helpful but not required.

This qualification is competence-based and candidates must therefore demonstrate the level of competence described within the Qualification Specification.

Assessment for this course is by way of a multiple-choice open-book exam that learners must submit within one month of completing the classroom session. 

  Successful learners receive:

· ProQual Level 2 Award for Fire Marshals. 

· Delta Fire Training CPD certificate. 

These certificates support workplace compliance.
